From the Me Too Movement, to the Kavanaugh hearings, to the recent documentary about R. Kelly, there is increasing public discourse around sexual trauma and possibly more people are wrestling with their experiences of sexual trauma. Guided by Amanda and three therapists who specialize in trauma, this circle will offer a space of healing and connection for survivors. Using trauma-informed, body-centered therapeutic techniques, participants will be given an opportunity to learn new coping skills and build their sense of their own strength. Our guest therapists are Jacqueline Samuda, Beth Wheeler, and Amelie Zurn-Galinsky. A light lunch will be served at 1pm, before the circle begins.
*This particular circle is for female-identified survivors. Amanda is working to find therapists able to support a circle for male-identified survivors as well, and is very open to creating a circle for non-binary survivors. Please be in touch with any questions.
If you would like to RSVP privately, we invite you to email Amanda at firstname.lastname@example.org. RSVPs are required for this event, and attendees must have some connection to WES (be referred by friend, etc). This event will be capped at 20 people.
