Path to Membership Classes Scheduled

The Washington Ethical Society welcomes folks into membership a few times a year, using a “cohort” model so that people can get to know a small group and become members–if they decide they’re ready to join–together. The first step is to attend a Path to Membership class (Part 1). It doesn’t commit you to anything; it’s just an opportunity to learn more about WES and Ethical Culture, and to discuss what membership means.

Please let us know if you’d like to join any of these cohorts. And of course, if you have any questions about the classes, or about membership or WES more generally, please don’t hesitate to be in touch with Maceo Thomas, maceot@ethicalsociety.org, WES’ Memberhsip Coordinator.

Part 2: Who We Seek to Be: Hear from members of the Board, the Community Relations Committee, and our anti-racism leadership as they talk about WES’ vision, goals, and intentions. How do we communicate with each other? How do we handle conflict in our community? What do we hope to accomplish in the coming year? What shared values do we bring to our work together? Leaders in these areas will look forward to sharing with you, and also to hearing your hopes, experiences, and questions.

Part 3:  How You Can Bring Yourself to Us: Join us as we lead a process of exploration, inviting you to consider what you feel drawn to bring to this community. We will share about different opportunities at WES, but more importantly, they’ll facilitate your own conversation about what brings you to WES, and what you bring to us.

Part 4: Going Deeper Together: Experience a Deepening Circle, one of WES’ signature small group programs, which invites participants to share and connect beyond small talk. Experienced Deepening Circle facilitators will lead a gathering geared specifically toward those new(er) to our community.
