Notes: The culture of WES during the 80's and 90's was heavily influenced by courses taught in the adult education program. These courses provided techniques for members to build relationships with others. Relationships between life partners were a focus, of course, but the techniques could be used in WES community life as well as in professional life. Mary Bauer Smith was one of the leading teachers of Relationship Building and she presented this short summary in a 2017 retrospective platform.
