A Letter to the Community and the Families of Kids Village Learning Center

Dear Kids Village Families and the Greater Community,

It is with a heavy heart and deep regret that we must share some difficult news with you.  Despite our best efforts to maintain a nurturing environment for childcare services, we must inform the community that WES has made the decision to not renew the lease with Kids Village, LLC. The lease will expire on November 30, 2024.  This decision comes after many, many months of working toward a solution.

Federally taxed as a church, WES is legally required to rent to organizations that work toward the same goals or overarching Ends as the tenets of our faith. Therefore, WES can only rent to organizations that behave in a like minded manner as our faith directs. If you would like further reasons as to why this decision has been made, we direct you to read our ends. All renters must behave in a way that aligns with our ends to continue renting space in our building.

We understand the profound impact this closure may have on you and your family, and want to express our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience or distress it may cause.  We understand the importance of reliable and consistent childcare services, and we want to assure you that we are committed to supporting you during this transition.  While we are unable to continue leasing to this particular child care program in our building anymore, we are here to offer assistance and resources to help you find alternative childcare options.

As a part of our commitment to supporting you during this transition, please find below a curated list of recommended resources to assist you in finding continued care for your little ones.   We understand the importance of reliable and nurturing childcare, and we hope these resources will help make the process easier for you.

We hope these resources will help you in making the best choice for your family’s child care needs.

Warm Regards,

The Washington Ethical Society
