A Premiere of a Powerful New Documentary Film — “Border South”

Dear WES Folks,

We’d like to call to your attention the D.C. and U.S. premiere of a
powerful new documentary film, ”Border South.”

Filmmaker and friend Kaye Pyle just sent us an announcement of the
U.S. premier screening of the film (she is a consulting producer).  The
trailer follows:    https://bordersouthfilm.com/trailer/  .  The screening is
at AFI Docs Film Festival, Landmark E Street 7 Theatre on
Thursday, June 20 at 9:00 p.m.   Please circulate widely.

Kaye previously produced the film “Nino’s de la Memoria”
 https://www.ninosdelamemoria.com/filmmakers/  , a beautiful and
poignant film focusing on children who were “disappeared” during the
civil war in El Salvador.  She held the D.C. premier at WES, including
a panel and the principal subjects of the film, a mother & daughter
from Boston and El Salvador. It was amazing…

The Director of “Border South”, Raul Raz Pastrana and Kaye would
like to get the word out in D.C. for this screening.  If you are able to
facilitate any publicity or have suggestions for the filmmakers, please
let them know.  They are available at:

Raul Paz-Pastrana <zhokka@gmail.com>

Kaye Pyle <kayepyle1010@gmail.com>

This looks to be a truly amazing and hard-hitting film. The timing
could not be better.

Thank you,

The WES Immigration Support Team
