Join the WES/Global Connections’ 2020 delegation to El Rodeo, our sister community in El Salvador. Each annual delegation involves cross-cultural and social justice work, exploring lush, green hills and getting to know the amazing people of El Rodeo.
The Global Connections team has led delegations to El Rodeo since 2010. Our delegations have evolved from community meetings prioritizing needs (i.e., access to potable water, scholarships, and employment) to programs such as establishing a “Little Library” and running an annual dental clinic.
The GC team and El Rodeo have worked closely on achieving what the community identified as its greatest need. Last summer we reached an incredible milestone: El Rodeo’s solar powered water system is complete. For the first time, every home in the village has potable water. Their new priority is to build a community center!
During the upcoming delegation, from June 24 – July 5, delegates will have the opportunity to support the annual dental clinic, attend community meetings, meet with village members to learn about the community’s history and other great activities. Slots are still available but space is limited.
Applications are available in the WES office, El Rodeo box. They are due (in the same box) along with a $100 deposit, by February 15!
