Thanks so much to our generous WES members and friends!  Sunday, July 28, WIST collected cash donations and stuffed donated items into 100+ transit bags for immigrants arriving at Silver Spring Greyhound station.  Your contributions of personal toiletry items plus non-perishable food and stuffed animals for children, were so generous that we have 100+ filled bags, and extra items. Members told us they raided their attics for childhood plush animals, their children contributed favorite plushies and 50 beany babies, plus 400+ toothbrushes. Sunday, August 4, we need to stuff another 50 transit bags with items collected already. Please stay for a spell after platform to help us stuff these last bags!  Also, if you are able, please consider donating cash towards WIST outlays.
