Buenas tardes Amigos y amigas de WES como están?  Good afternoon WES friends, how are you?

Es un gusto saludarles de nuevo y pues a la misma aprovechar para compartir con ustedes algunos avances en la gestión de la comunidad,
para solventar problemas de nuestra comunidad. It is a pleasure to greet you again and also share with you some of the progress we´ve made to solve problems in our community.

Creemos que los sueños se cumplen cuando hay voluntad para alcanzarlos. We believe that dreams will come true when there is the will to make them happen.

Soñamos con tener pasajes más definidos en la comunidad, para mejorar el acceso, con la gestión
hoy contamos con los dos pasajes principales en mejores condiciones. We dream of having more defined passageways in the community, to improve access and with our work and coordinations today we have 2 principal passageways in better conditions.

Fue un trabajo difícil en donde nos toco meternos de lleno, lastimosamente no todo mundo se involucra en las actividades, pero eso no impide que las cosas avancen. It was hard work and we had to give it our all, unfortunately not everyone got involved in these activities, but this did not stop getting things moving forward.

Aquí comparto algunas fotografías de los pasajes. Here are some photos of the new passageways.

Esta apertura de los pasajes nos ayudara de gran manera ya que podremos llevar los materiales en carro hasta el lugar donde se construira el tanque de bombeo y no tenemos que llevarlos en la espalda. This opening up the passageways helps us in a big way because now we can bring the materials we need in cars or trucks up to where the pumping tanks will be built and so we won´t have to carry everything on our backs.

Por otra parte estamos gestionando para que esta semana puedan ayudarnos con la maquinaria para hacer los planteles donde estarán los dos tanque, el de bombeo y distribución, eso será de gran ayuda porque esto se tenía que hacer con herramientas manuales, y tardaríamos un par de semanas y con esto se hara en un rato. We are also seeing if we can get help with the machines for this coming week so we can flatten out where the 2 tanks will go, one for pumping and one for distribution. This would be a great help because otherwise we would have to do it by hand and it would take a couple of weeks to do it and with the machines it would go so fast.

El domingo pasado tuvimos una jornada de chapoda donde estarán los tanques, fue bonito y alentador que salio mucha gente a trabajar. Last Sunday we had a work day to clean up the tank area and it went really well and was such an uplifting thing because many people came out to work.

Estamos preparando el documento de entendimiento con cada uno y una de las familias beneficiadas con el proyecto de agua y esto nos servirá para evitar malos entendidos y dejar claro cuál será el compromiso entre la familia y el comité de agua y ADESCO. We are preparing an agreement document with each of the families that will benefit from the water project and this will help to avoid misunderstandings and make clear what the commitments are between the family and the water committee and the ADESCO.

También decir que gestionamos con la cooperativa de Santa Marta un terreno para construir la casa comunal de El Rodeo, claro esto será un proyecto más a futuro porque la prioridad ahorita es el proyecto de agua. I also want to say that we are working with the Santa Marta Cooperative to see if they will donate a piece of land to build a Community House in El Rodeo, of course this is a future project since our priority right now is the Water Project.

Vamos avanzando en los sueños de la comunidad y ustedes son parte importante para lograrlos. We are moving forward with our community´s dreams and you all are an important part of achieving them.
