Harm Reduction

Harm reduction can be understood as a set of practical strategies and tools to prevent the harms of substance use, sex work, or other behaviors. These practices, which save lives and are core to the work of organizations like HIPS, come out of lived experiences of drug users, sex workers, folks who live on the street, many of whom are also queer, transgender, and/or people of color. Join us to learn more about the history of this movement and how harm reduction principles can inform our ethical and practical lives.
