De-Stressing: Allowing Our Bodies to Work

The practice of deep relaxation is built on the premise that relaxed muscles and anxiety are mutually exclusive states.  We can bring about very deep relaxation intentionally and adopt it as a practice.  That requires learning to release muscular tension, breathing practices, even bringing attention to sensation.  It’s fascinating work that deeply soothes and breaks the circuit of anxiety. If adopted as a regular practice, deep relaxation can bring about beneficial and lasting attitude change.
