WES affirms the right of all people–trans, cis, and non-binary–to live in alignment with their true selves and be treated with worth and dignity. Together we must support the trans community by educating ourselves, working with others, and ensuring our institutions protect them instead of vilifying or scapegoating.
Rev. Leika Lewis (they/she) is a UU chaplain, poet, Humanist theologian, and community minister. Rev. Leika’s ministry brings movement chaplaincy, embodied ritual, and contemplative practice to people and groups who have experienced religious trauma. As a multi-vocational minister, they also minister through advocacy for polyamorous people and other sexual minorities while continuing a decades-long career in organizational strategy and policy.
