Hello,

My name is Lula Beatty and I am now coordinating the Luther Place meals program at WES.  Naomi  Goldstein, the former coordinator extraordinaire, provided me with your name and contact information.   She also has helped me in preparing for this role.

The most immediate, important task is to get volunteers to prepare meals.  WES provides a meal each second Saturday of the month at 7 pm at Luther Place (http://ethicalsociety.org/justice/luther-place/).  We need two people to prepare and serve the meal, to arrive around 6:45 pm and serve at 7.  Typically, one person prepares a main course (including a vegetarian option) and the other prepares a salad, side dish, and dessert.  

We need coverage for the following dates:

Feb. 10     Need one additional volunteer

March 10   Covered (no volunteers needed)

April 14

May 12

June 9

July 14 

August 11

September 8 

October 13    Need one additional volunteer

November 10

December 8

 

I am especially interested in getting  coverage for Feb. – May. 

I will be talking with the Luther Place volunteer coordinator to determine/reaffirm the amount of food that is needed.  I will share that information with you.
