We invite the whole WES community to provide donations of new or gently-used winter coats over the next three weeks for recently-arrived refugee families in this area.  As you know, the WES Refugee Resettlement Team participates with Lutheran Social Services in the interfaith Good Neighbor Program to orient and advise “our” refugee family from Afghanistan toward self-sufficiency.  Please see the flyer below describing the time-limited Lutheran Social Services campaign for winter coat and apparel donations for both the children and adults in its sponsored refugee families in this area.

     WES is collecting donations at WES on two Sundays only: November 5 and November 12, 2017.  Katherine O’Kester will coordinate the coat delivery to LSS/NCA and answer questions you might have at okesterkat@earthlink.net .
